By Scott Gilfoid: IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook says he’s going to do a job on Errol Spence Jr. in their fight on May 20 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, England. Brook is still periodically calling Spence, “Spencer,” for some reason. I’m not sure if this is something that Brook intentionally does to get under the skin of the 27-year-old Spence.

I don’t think it’s going to register with Spence no matter how many times Brook mangles his name. Spence sees Brook as just a guy that he wants to obliterate so that he can take his IBF title from him in front of his own boxing fans. By Jeff Aranow: The promoters for IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Andre “SOG” Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) and former 175 lb. champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-1-1, 26 KOs) have reportedly begun talks for a rematch between the two fighters, according to RingTV.com.

There is no deal as of now. Hopefully that will change in the near future, as the boxing world is very interested in seeing Ward and Kovalev battle it out once again. Ward has talked about wanting the rematch to make sense for him. Read the rest of this entry »

Jean-Eric Vergne has confirmed that his Formula 1 reserve role with Ferrari has now come to an end.

The former Toro Rosso driver will instead become further immersed in Formula E, through not only his role as a driver at the Techeetah team, but also through a wider managerial remit at the Chinese squad.Vergne is understood to have a stake in Techeetah, and has been a key driving force in building the team since it acquired Team Aguri's slot on the grid last summer. Ferrari

He has trained in Shotokan, Kickboxing, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling and Pankration.^[2]He started competing professionally in 2000, scoring a string of victories over notable opponents. So far, the majority of his wins have been knock-outs.
